A local you can actually reach

Dial the office and a Cobb County crew member answers — never a distant call bank. Walk us through the rooms and the tight spots, and we map the whole job before your date lands.

A flat quote, no move-day math

Pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and wardrobe boxes are folded into the figure we hand you, so the total after the last carton matches the one you agreed to going in.

Pack the whole house or just the china

Cabinets fill dish barrels, closets fill wardrobe cartons, and every mirror, flat-screen or stone counter rides in a crate cut to its size.

The same faces, Acworth to your door

The chief who sizes up your home leads the truck and walks the final look-through with you — nobody hands your load off halfway.

I’m Garrett Sturdivant, and Acworth Advantage Movers is mine — one Cobb County outfit, no franchise flag, no out-of-state office. I grew up a few blocks off Lake Acworth, spent years running crews for other companies around northwest Atlanta, then put my own name on a truck in 2009.

Plain and simple: who you’re hiring

The honest answer is yes. We’re Acworth Advantage Movers — a licensed, insured, owner-operated company working out of Acworth, GA, running our own fleet with our own uniformed movers, and never a broker, matching app or lead reseller. Ring the number and it rings through to Acworth — my office, or me.

The people who’ll handle your move

  • Bailey Fontaine runs the calendar, the certificates of insurance and the Cobb County paperwork.
  • Reggie Alcott sets the truck board each morning across Cobb, Cherokee and Bartow.
  • Marquis Doyle takes point on pianos, gun safes, long stair carries and lake-house docks.
  • Hollis Barnett leads the long hauls up and down I-75 and I-575.
  • Deshawn Yates knows the downtown Acworth and Marietta Square walk-ups cold.

How we work

We keep about fifteen uniformed movers on staff, every one a W-2 employee rather than day-hire labor. Our authority covers Georgia household-goods moves plus US DOT and MC credentials for interstate work, and we’re bonded and insured. We build every move around what this corner of Cobb County throws at a crew — red-clay grades, muggy Georgia heat and the narrow old streets downtown.

I still answer the phone myself and walk the hard lake-house and stair jobs. Ring me directly at (888) 278-9005 and we’ll walk through what your move needs.

Meet the owner

Garrett Sturdivant — Owner of Acworth Advantage Movers

I’m Garrett, and Acworth Advantage Movers is mine — owner-run, no partners, no franchise sign over the door. I grew up in Cobb County a few blocks off Lake Acworth, ran crews for other outfits all over northwest Atlanta for years, then started my own in 2009. The idea behind it was simple and hasn’t changed: hand people a straight, flat number they can trust, then send a crew that actually earns it. One truck became a whole yard of them, but the way we work is the same. The movers at your door wear our shirts and sit on our own W-2 payroll — never a subcontractor — and when you call, it rings here in Acworth, not at some far-off call bank. Years of moves around the Lake City taught this crew what makes or breaks a job here: downtown walk-ups off Main Street, lake-house carries down to the dock on Lake Allatoona, long stair runs in the older homes near Kennesaw Mountain, and load days worked around red-clay hills, spring pollen and a heavy Georgia summer. Our name sits on the side of each rig, and that is exactly why a customer’s heirloom gets handled like a piece I’d be carrying out of my own home.

Full-time and uniformed, every one of them on our own the northwest Atlanta metro payroll · A licensed, insured Acworth, GA mover — Georgia household-goods moving authority alongside US DOT and MC authority · the same crew loading and unloading

How a Move With Us Actually Runs

  1. 1

A quick quote, usually inside ten minutes

On our end: Give us the room count, say whether it’s a stair carry or a straight walk-out, and point us to where the truck can pull in — a firm number heads right back to you.

Where you help: Have your dates and any HOA or lake-community gate rules handy; those details are what turn a ballpark into an exact figure.

  2. 2

We lock your date and sort the access

On our end: We line up the parking, the gate code and any elevator window with your building or subdivision ahead of time, so on the day the truck backs right to the door instead of parking a lot away.

Where you help: Pin down both ends — move-out and move-in — and hand us whichever date has the least give in it.

  3. 3

    Everything gets padded and wrapped

On our end: Blankets go over every piece, sofas get shrink-wrapped, and bed frames and table legs break down into hardware bags tagged to each item.

Where you help: Label your boxes by the room they belong in, and keep documents, keys and small valuables with you rather than on the truck.

  4. 4

Load, drive, unload, then a final walk

On our end: The crew that loads in Acworth is the crew that carries in at the far end — each piece placed where you point, beds rebuilt, and every scrap of used wrap hauled off before we roll.

Where you help: Do a lap of the place with the chief before the truck leaves, while anything not quite right is still free to fix.
